About Leonora

Leonora Stone has given Care to Seniors privately for over 20 years. Although an illness stopped her from completing her course as a practical nurse.  She was given credit and allowed to be called a Practical Nurse.  She has been on the job day and night since.  She holds a registered certificate in both P.S.W. (Personal Support Worker) and H.C.A. (Health Care Aid).

Work Ethics \\

• Worked along with Doctors who have used her notes as their own.
• Never were her actions questioned by any of the doctors (because of her notes). If it was necessary she would call the doctor/or take client directly to hospital. 
• Completed Daily Health Records of each client.
• Medication- given as directed
• Hygienic care given daily /or whenever needed.
• Weekly meal plan as directed /  if not ordered by Doctor, worked with the client.
• Made certain all appointments were kept/ changed appointments when needed.
• Helped clients with their banking and shopping needs.
• Took clients for walks about the neighborhood (some in wheelchairs) to see their friends, pick berries and flowers.
• Provided excellent companionship.

Why work with Seniors?

 "Why not?  These are individuals who have many more memories than you and I.  They like to share what they know.  More often their memories are the best.  I love when they start to laugh at a memory and then think about how to tell it.  Yes, it is hard for some who have dementia but we have to try and get that memory to come up and let them remember that special moment.  Todays time is very hard on our seniors and letting them have their dignity and life is a precious gift.
