Ear Candling/Coning

(Auricular Candling, in ancient times)

This procedure has been around for centuries, as illustrated on wall murals in the Egyptian Pyramids.

The ear candle is made of beeswax and linen or raw cotton fabric which acts like a wick. The candle is hollow inside, giving a chimney effect. When a candle is lit, while in the ear, the heat from the flame draws the air inside, upward. As the air in the candle is used, a vacuum is created, gently drawing the wax into the candle.

Ear candling has been recommended as a gentle, natural way to deal with wax build-up that’s affecting your hearing or causing minor discomfort.

Events such as environmental pollutants, loud music or noise, earphones, telephones, headphones, may change the cranial bone alignment enough to cause pressure on the nerves that affect ones sense of taste, smell, hearing and sight. The reverse osmotic pressure of ear candling is enough to correct this misalignment.

Both ears must be completed during an ear candling session to create balance.

Ear Candling is only for the relief of discomfort. It is not intended to treat a disease. For severe health problems, we suggest you speak to your health care practitioner.

The original auricular candles were hollow reeds. Yes, we have come a long way in the way of the ear candle - but isn’t it incredible how we have this ancient knowledge to use again and again?!
